The Wangensteen Historical Library of Biology and Medicine, an exceptional collection of rare books and journals dating back to the early 15th century, holds some of the most important, ground-breaking publications of the medical researchers and clinicians of an earlier age. Numbering approximately 70,000 volumes, the collection is strong in numerous aspects of health care including surgery, pharmacy, obstetrics, pediatrics, orthopedics, ophthalmology, public health, cardiology, anatomy, psychiatry, and the natural sciences.
